My attitude to learners
To my mind the most essential part of teaching maths is to carry the charm and the clarity of the course while with respect to the learning tempo of an particular child. I believe in trusting in every scholar, that each one holds the power to understand and do the mathematics delivered to them. I suppose that the purpose of teaching is to equip every student with skills and logic to grow and work in society. Due to this, I intend to treat my students respectfully and to be as encouraging as I can be in the education process meantime provoking them to explore new ways of thinking and fresh ideas and guidelines. I will definitely value each specific child's needs reasonably of what is possible and what means are available in the class. I will anticipate to spend as much or more effort and time put into the school day as I anticipate from my students. I will accept that I get as much to study every year as my learners, and I will be flexible enough to accept commentary and ready for new ways of teaching in an effort to grasp all learning styles.
The source of support and help for students
I view my position at this stage as an expert, far in the same manner their real school teachers are, but also as a further provider of back up and assistance. My task is that of a mentor just because I do not teach the whole day day of lessons as my chief teacher does, so I may be a resource the scholars may use to obtain additional advice as well as can rely on in order to get support. My role is also that of a learner, so I view myself as a prolongation of my students, I am definitely learning through them what it means to be an efficient mathematics tutor.
How I help my students improve
Contrary to different tutoring groups in North Macquarie, throughout the normal academic year, I actually represent the information that the learner gains in his/her lesson. In other words, I tend not to demand that learners do beyond worksheets and homework that are not actually involved in the student's maths program, still, instead, I tutor the child in places of his/her mathematics program which may be actually hard like quality and intensity of comprehension, applying of models, and test-taking strategies. Everything I do is related directly to assisting the learner to better realise the information from the maths course they are having and to improve the grade in that subject.
